Moisturize and nourish the roots before decanting with these natural ingredients.
If you have just purchased a plant or have had one for a long time, you probably need to repot it : that is, move it to a more suitable container to ensure that its roots can grow unhindered.
Decanting can be a delicate moment for the plant itself, as it can suffer a shock, for this reason you can proceed by hydrating the roots so that they absorb water and nutrients .
Let’s see how to do it right.
Necessary
- 2 small red onions
- Container
- Water
- Bucket
- 2 pieces of aloe vera
Procedure
- First, free the seedling from its original pot.
- Cut the onion into small pieces and place it in a container with 600 ml of water.
- Also add the aloe vera and squeeze it with your fingers to get the gel inside.
- Pour the solution into a bucket or bowl and dilute with 2 liters of water.
- Place the plant inside, making sure the roots are completely submerged.
- Leave it on for an hour.
- Now place the plant in the new pot with your preferred soil.
