Kalanchoe  is a very common succulent: it is an easy-to-grow plant, suitable even for inexperienced growers, and is characterized by colorful and long-lasting flowers.

To spread it , there are several  steps , simple and specific, but fundamental for the success of the operation.

Let’s see how it goes.

  1. Season:  To propagate this plant optimally, a mild temperature is essential, not too hot or too rigid. For this reason, it is advisable to do it in early spring.
  2. Soil:  For Kalanchoe cuttings, a loose and well-drained soil is ideal to avoid the accumulation of excess water.
  3. Cuttings:  Choose mature branches and make a clean and precise cut. If there are flowers, they must be eliminated. as well as the lower leaves. Also be sure to use clean and disinfected scissors. Insert them into the ground about 1 cm deep.
  4. Water:  Wet immediately after inserting the branches into the soil, but be careful not to overdo it. A small amount of water is enough, otherwise the branches will rot before they form roots.
  5. Position:  Place the pot in a shady place without direct light for at least a week and continue to water as needed.
  6. Rooting:  After 10-15 days, the cuttings will have developed small roots. At this point, transplant them individually into a pot.
