Peanut shells can also be useful in the garden. Let’s see how.

Whether in pots or in the garden, our  plants  need  care  and attention.

For this purpose, unusual or unexpected, natural and economical ingredients can come to our rescue: in this way we can dedicate ourselves to gardening with an eye on the environment and also the wallet!

Peanut shells in particular   can be a great help. Let’s see how.

  1. For fertilizing : Peanut shells, as rich in nutrients as they are, are an excellent natural fertilizer. You can make a fine powder out of them by grinding them in a blender and adding them to the compost.
  2. Drainage:  Many plants are afraid of excess liquid and for this reason it is necessary to remove the excess water so that the roots do not rot. To do this, you can add a layer of whole peanut shells to the soil where your plant is located, which serve precisely to make the soil more draining.
