Even in winter it can give a wonderful bloom, just follow a few steps.

The  orchid  is a very sensitive plant that usually only blooms in the spring and summer months.

However, the vegetative cycle can be changed and  flowering can also  be made in  winter .

Here’s what to do.

  1. Keep  it warm , preferably at a temperature of 21-22 °C. Also pay attention to  the sunlight , it must always be present but it must not   be directed at the orchid.
  2. Use a fertilizer, normally it should not be fertilized during the winter months, but to increase flowering, use a special  fertilizer  based on phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen.
  3. Always water, avoiding overdoing it so as not to rot the soil. The best method is  immersion : place the seedling in a basin of water for 20 minutes and then remove it.
  4. Keep the environment  humid , about 60%. The orchid is of tropical origin and therefore used to humidity. It is ideal to keep it in the  bathroom  .
