From a young age, I actively helped my parents with farming in the garden and then organized my own plot. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than working with the soil, planting seeds and seeing the first sprouts emerge. Over the years, I have accumulated significant experience and some secrets that I would like to share with you today.

The most important point for a rich harvest is the proper preparation of the soil. Nowadays, many gardeners resort to the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, but I prefer to stick to natural and safe methods. The soil is a living organism that requires careful treatment and care.

Every autumn, after harvesting, I carry out a special soil treatment. First, I sprinkle it with a mixture of mustard powder and tobacco dust. These natural components effectively repel various pests such as fleas, caterpillars, slugs and other insects that often spoil young sprouts.

Mustard and tobacco dust not only protect plants from pests, but also enrich them with trace elements and vitamins, thus contributing to their active growth and development.

Next, I prepare a special solution for watering the soil. I put three cups of wood ash in a large bucket – I always have plenty of it after heating the stoves. I add a little vinegar to the ash – about half a cup.

Ash itself is very nutritious and contains calcium, potassium and phosphorus, which are important for plant nutrition. However, in their usual form, these substances are poorly absorbed by plants. Vinegar helps to make these elements soluble and available to the roots of plants. When I add vinegar to the ash, a chemical reaction begins.

While the mixture is actively reacting, I dilute it with water from the well and let it brew so that all the useful salts are completely dissolved. I also add a pinch of turmeric to this nutrient mixture, which helps fight diseases and serves as additional plant nutrition.

And the last thing I add is humates. A whole jar of this miraculous substance transforms the soil into a soft, loose and moisture-retaining environment that is ideal for plant growth.

So, step by step, we prepared my secret infusion, which works wonderfully despite its specific smell! This treatment makes my land healthy and fertile, ready for the new season. After such preparation, no pests and diseases are afraid of my plants anymore.

As soon as the last snow melts, I water the beds again with this healing liquid so that they are saturated with all the necessary elements. Then it’s time to plant seedlings: tomatoes, cucumbers and other vegetables.

My methods may seem outdated to some, but the harvest from my garden speaks for itself – it is incomparably delicious. I put my love and care into every fruit, because for me gardening is not just a hobby, it is my life.
