An ingredient that we usually throw away is useful for the plants we have at home or in the garden. Below, we explain how to use it.

Vegetable ingredient

In our  homes,  to beautify our  rooms,  we use some different types of plants as furniture that help us to have a nice and beautiful house to look at. Many of these  plants  are useful not only for their aesthetic function but also to prevent mold from forming on the walls, due to the condensation that can arise from humidity.

Plants: This is what we can use instead of throwing it away

In fact, some of these  evergreen friends  tend to absorb all the excess moisture and retain it, so that there is also an   ever-present  exchange of air thanks to their photosynthesis. Like any plant  and  tree, thanks to this method, an exchange of carbon dioxide and oxygen  occurs   which can be really healthy for the human body and therefore the air in which the plants are found will always be genuine. But we can also find these  plants  outside, especially on our balconies and in gardens and we must be very careful with their maintenance because bad weather could damage them. Plants,  outside our  homes,  are useful for the  ecosystem , since insects can land on their flowers and extract the necessary nectar to then proceed to pollination.

Plants: This is the secret ingredient

This is very important, because the  planet  is becoming greener and healthier thanks to the help of pollinating insects and having a garden full of flowers and plants only helps these little friends of ours. In recent times, man is always being pushed to  become aware  of the issue of eco-sustainability and to safeguard the planet after years of actions that have endangered its health. For this reason, in many  Italian municipalities  it has been decided to enrich flowerbeds with flowers and plants, to the point of giving insects a contribution to proliferate and continue their pollinating action, which is also very useful for us humans.

The unthinkable ingredient

No matter how much we can do for the environment, it always seems like it is never enough and for this reason we look for methods to make sure that plants and flowers are always lush but not everyone knows some secrets. There is an  ingredient , which we usually throw away, that is very useful if inserted into the soil of our plants. We are talking about eggshells that, combined with other waste, can become an excellent fertilizer. First you should put the eggshells  inside  the container of a blender together with  the  banana peels and  coffee grounds  and pour a little water to soften everything.

Afterwards, we proceed to the maturation of all the  ingredients  and we will obtain a mixture that must be inserted into the soil of the plant, taking care to keep the mixture away from the roots. When digging, this mixture must be introduced into a furrow in the soil and then cover everything with more soil and put a little water to ensure that everything is well absorbed. This will help keep  non-pollinating insects away  , and the properties of the banana peel and eggshell will grow strong and lush flowers and plants that will withstand time.
