Today, I’m revealing an incredible tip to create a natural and economical fertilizer from coffee grounds and banana peels. This fertilizer is rich in nutrients and perfect for revitalizing your indoor or outdoor plants. Follow the guide to bring your plants back to life without spending a penny!

Ingredients needed:

  • Coffee grounds (about 4 tablespoons)
  • 1.5 liters of water
  • 3 banana peels (any variety)
  • A container with a lid
  • A mixer or blender
  • A colander

Preparation steps:

  1. Prepare the coffee grounds infusion  :
    • Mix 4 tablespoons of coffee grounds with 1.5 liters of water in a container.
    • Stir well so that the coffee grounds mix evenly with the water.
    • Cover the container loosely (leave a small opening to let it breathe) and let it sit for  3 days  in a cool place, such as on top of your refrigerator.
  2. Add the banana peels  :
    • After 3 days, the coffee grounds infusion will be ready. It will have a strong smell, but this is completely normal!
    • Add 3 banana peels to a blender, then pour the coffee grounds infusion over the top.
    • Blend for 2 to 3 minutes until smooth and frothy.
  3. Filter the mixture  :
    • Pass the mixture through a strainer to remove any banana peel residue. This residue could attract ants or cause mold in your plants.

Use :

  • Application on plants  : Use this liquid fertilizer to water your plants once a week. It is suitable for all types of plants, from orchids to roses to houseplants like African violets.
  • Results  : You will quickly see your plants come back to life, with greener leaves and more vigorous growth. This fertilizer is rich in nitrogen, potassium, magnesium and phosphorus, essential nutrients for plant health.

Why is this tip great?

  • Economical  : Use waste that you would normally throw away (coffee grounds and banana peels).
  • Natural  : No chemicals, only natural and biodegradable ingredients.
  • Effective  : This fertilizer is rich in nutrients and suitable for almost all plants.

Bonus Tip:

If you have plants that seem tired or no longer grow, this fertilizer is perfect to give them a boost. Remember to filter the mixture well to avoid problems with mold or insects.
