Even with limited time and minimal physical effort, any gardener can grow their own cucumber crop without the need for watering. To do this, you need to prepare a “self-watering” bed.
The process begins with digging a trench around the bed and watering the bed abundantly with boiling water. Then you should cover the bed with a black, dense film and dig a trench with soil so that the film is below ground level on the sides of the bed.
After that, the bed must be left for 3 days – during this time it warms up and condensation begins to form, which feeds the cucumbers.
After the bed has warmed up and condensation has formed, you can make cuts in the film in a checkerboard pattern, the distance between them is about 20 cm, and then plant cucumber seeds or seedlings. Next, you need to wait until the cucumbers are ripe and you can harvest them.
