A careful attitude when choosing household chemicals is concern for your health and the environment. Many store-bought products contain potentially harmful substances, but you can replace them with homemade, natural alternatives. An example of such a product is a cleaner made from orange peels.

To prepare it you will need:
Peeling oranges: First, you need to thoroughly clean the peels of dirt and a waxy layer. To do this, soak them in water with baking soda and then wipe them well.
Preparing the peels: Cut the orange peels into thin strips and place them in a clean plastic bottle. The peels of one orange are enough for a half-liter bottle.

Add soda: Add a heaped teaspoon of baking soda to a bottle of crusts.

The last step: fill the bowls with water, leaving a small space up to the neck of the bottle. Close the lid, shake the contents and leave it in a dark place for 2-3 days.
During this time, the essential oils of the orange peels are effectively absorbed into the water. The finished product can be used for washing dishes and for removing grease stains from kitchen furniture, stoves and ovens.

This environmentally friendly and safe method will not only help keep your home clean but also fill it with a pleasant citrus aroma.
