Propagating Sansevieria is very easy. You can do it in two different ways.

If you want to have many specimens of your plants or want to give them as a gift to someone,  propagation is the  right method for you.

Propagation is intended to produce other plants based on those already existing.

Let’s see how to do it specifically for  Sansevieria  .

Cut

  1. First, cut a leaf of the plant you want to propagate into several pieces.
  2. Place the pieces in a pot of soil, letting them fall deep into the side where the cut was made.
  3. Water and then place the pot in a dark place.
  4. After about 35 days, carefully pull the leaves out of the soil. You will notice that small roots have grown.
  5. Now you need to transplant it into the pot of your choice and take care of it normally.

  1. Since Sansevieria grows by developing different branches, you can use them for propagation.
  2. Select the branch you want to take and free it from the soil in which it is located, being careful not to damage its roots.
  3. Then transfer it to a new container with suitable soil.
  4. Water until the soil is well moistened.
