Your waste can be good for plants.

Food consumption goes hand in hand with  waste production . Have you ever noticed how much waste you produce when preparing a meal?

This is a normal and inevitable process, especially when you are forced to throw away all inedible parts of food. However, this does not mean that they are no longer  useful  , on the contrary.

In addition to properly disposing of these wastes according to the rules of separate collection, they can also be repurposed, thus reducing the impact on waste. In particular, many food wastes actually contain  nutrients  and substances that are important for  plants  and can therefore benefit growth and health.

So let’s see how you can use food waste to make natural  fertilizers  for your plants.

Necessary

  • Egg shells
  • coffee grounds
  • Water
  • banana peel

Proceedings

  1. To make an excellent fertilizer, just let the eggshells dry for 1-2 days.
  2. Then crumble and add 1 teaspoon of coffee grounds.
  3. Apply it directly around the plant and mix it gently with the top layer of soil.
  4. If you prefer a liquid fertilizer: Cut the banana peel into small pieces and dip it in water.
  5. Leave to stand for 3-4 days, then strain and dilute with water.
  6. Moisten the soil with the resulting solution.
