Aloe vera is a succulent plant, just like cacti. There are many varieties, but the most common is the medicinal aloe vera that grows up to 100cm in height. You can grow it both as an ornamental plant , thanks to its beauty, and use it to extract the gel from its fleshy leaves (excellent for various natural remedies).

Furthermore, aloe vera is also capable of purifying the air in the environments in which it grows, it is a truly useful plant!

To take care of it and cultivate it well, very little is needed, in fact, it will give its best precisely by ignoring it.

  • The two things to always check are: irrigation and sunlight.
  • The most common mistake people make when growing aloe is overwatering. Too much water will rot the plant, make sure you only water it when the soil is completely dry.
  • To make it grow at its best, place it in a bright area , it will also do well in partial shade.
  • The perfect soil for this plant is made up of universal soil, pebbles and gardening sand, in this way no water stagnation will form.
  • Like most succulents, aloe does not require any type of compost or fertilizer , but you can use a natural one during the main growth period, that is, spring.
  • As for multiplication , even in this case the plant provides for itself. Grow it in a large pot, you will see many new shoots grow from the roots in total autonomy.
