For anyone who grows pepper and tomato seedlings, it is extremely important to see healthy and strong plants in front of them. After all, strong seedlings on the windowsill are not only pleasing to the eye, but also affect the general mood, while problems with young plants can cause a feeling of discomfort.

The key to growing high-quality seedlings is choosing the ideal soil mixture, which is the basis for success. I want to share with you a recipe for a natural fertilizer for the soil that can improve its fertility, make it looser and protect plants from harmful microorganisms. All the ingredients for this fertilizer are natural and can be found in every home, their preparation does not require much time and effort.

The first ingredient is crushed eggshells, which are known for their availability and effectiveness as a soil additive for seedlings. By adding crushed shells to the soil, you can forget about such a problem as top rot, while the seedlings will grow healthy and give a good harvest. The shell is rich in calcium in slow-release form and contains small amounts of other useful macro and micronutrients.

It is important to thoroughly grind the peel in a grinder to a dusty state to maximize its beneficial effect and ensure that the soil is loose and does not compact after watering. I usually add 4 tablespoons of such a peel per 5 liters of soil. The peel should be pre-dried on a battery in a box for several days, making sure that there is no protein left.

The next component is chopped onion peels, which not only enrich the soil with nutrients, but also protect the seedlings from bacteria and fungi due to their unique composition. The peels should also be ground in a coffee grinder until a rich orange powder is obtained, which is added at the rate of 5 tablespoons per 5 liters of soil.

After adding the shells, the soil must be mixed well, it is also recommended to add a small amount of coconut substrate to achieve optimal looseness of the mixture.
