Are your evenings disturbed by mosquitoes? Don’t be afraid, you can make cheap and effective repellent candles!

In summer, mosquitoes are a real problem: they disturb our evenings with their buzzing and biting. There are many products on the market with the aim of eliminating them, but often the cost is high or we are not sure of their composition. We can make repellent candles with very few ingredients that we can place at home to ensure quiet evenings.

Necessary

  • glasses, VDI glass
  • Natural wax crystals
  • Wicks
  • cooking pots
  • wooden stick or clothespin
  • Lemongrass essential oil

Proceedings

  1. Attach the wick to the bottom of the container and roll it around a wooden stick that you place on the edge: this way the wick will remain straight.
  2. Melt the wax in a saucepan over medium heat
  3. When the wax has completely dissolved, add 10-20 drops of lemongrass essential oil
  4. Finally, pour the wax into the glass and let it cool.
  5. Once it has reached the solid consistency, it can be lit and placed in the house or on the windowsill to keep mosquitoes away!
